Projects
Chess engines, games, the infrastructure I run, and tools I built along the way.
Chess & Games

Avalanche
The first competitive chess engine written in Zig. Version 4.0.0 is rated 3597 on CCRL Blitz and 3492 on CCRL 40/15, and played in TCEC Season 30.

Lichess Accuracy Model
The win-probability model behind Lichess's game-analysis accuracy, fitted to real human games. In production for 4 million daily users.

Kami
A hand-drawn puzzle-platformer built at HackMIT 2026: whatever you sketch becomes solid ink, and whatever you name it, it becomes.
Systems & Infrastructure
SnowSys
The infrastructure I run on AWS: one hardened host serving this site, my blog, Kami, and an LLM gateway, with merge-first deploys, single sign-on, and restore-tested backups.

SnowBlog
A self-hosted blogging service for posts written in Typst, powering blogs.snowballsh.com.
ML & Tools

Yue
A desktop music visualizer I built for my own EDM tracks: an audio-reactive circular spectrum with supersampled rendering and one-click MP4 export.

Experience ML
A neural network written from scratch in Rust with no ML libraries, compiled to WebAssembly so you can experiment with machine learning entirely in your browser.

FireballSH
A Discord bot that gives students 24/7 math practice, with LaTeX and Asymptote rendering and automatic answer judging.
Hackathons

verde
A crowdsourced map for community-led environmental action, built in 24 hours at HackMIT 2025. I was the team's AI engineer.
